Who We Are

Sykes Group is a wholly indigenous engineering and infrastructure group based in Nigeria, providing world-class services to private clients, institutional partners, and government agencies across Africa. With decades of operational experience, Sykes Group has earned a reputation for quality, reliability, and performance in the delivery of critical energy and civil infrastructure.

Originally established in 1993 and restructured in 2025, Sykes Group operates through two specialized subsidiaries: Sykes Energy and Sykes Construction. We offer turnkey engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) services.

Group Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer

Nelson Esike assumed the role of Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sykes Group in 2025 as part of the company’s strategic restructuring initiative. Prior to this appointment, he had been instrumental in the company’s growth, bringing nearly two decades of experience in energy, energy infrastructure, construction, and project management. His portfolio includes leading roles on prominent turnkey projects across Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the United States.

Providing strategic leadership and governance oversight with more than four decades of experience in engineering and infrastructure development. A veteran of both the public and private sectors, his expertise spans civil construction, petroleum engineering, and large-scale public works. He played a pivotal role in the founding of Sykes Engineering Limited in 1993 and was instrumental in establishing its early reputation for technical excellence, operational integrity, and quality delivery.

Board Member, Sykes Group

Chinenye Udeh is the Managing Partner at Blue Ribbon Law Practice, a firm she founded with her life partner in 2018. She brings over 20 years of legal experience spanning litigation, corporate law, and human rights advocacy.

Mrs. Udeh currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja Branch, and chairs its Human Rights Committee, where she offers pro bono services to underserved communities.
